Why Roots Of Care

What makes us different — and why it matters to you

Choosing a support provider is one of the most important decisions a participant or family can make. Here is what we believe sets Roots Of Care apart, and what you can expect from us every day.

What sets us apart

Six reasons participants and families choose us

We have built Roots Of Care around the things that matter most to participants — consistency, flexibility, respect and genuine community connection.

Locally based in Cobblebank

We are part of the Melton community. Our team lives and works locally, so we understand the neighbourhood, the services nearby and what it means to belong here.

Flexible hours, seven days a week

We are available from 9 am to 11 pm every day of the week, so support fits around your life — not the other way around.

Participant-led planning

Your goals, your pace, your choices. We take the time to understand what matters to you before we plan anything, and we revisit that regularly.

Consistent support workers

We match participants with workers who suit their needs and keep that relationship stable. Familiar faces build trust, and trust builds confidence.

NDIS registered provider

Roots Of Care is a registered NDIS provider, which means we meet the quality and safeguarding standards set by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

Culturally responsive care

We respect and honour each participant's cultural background, language preferences and family values. Support that feels familiar is support that works.

Real difference, every day

Support that grows with you

Independence looks different for every person. For some participants it means getting out into the community more often. For others it means building daily routines, developing new skills or simply having someone reliable by their side.

At Roots Of Care, we think about the whole picture — not just the tasks on a support plan, but the confidence, connection and sense of belonging that come from consistent, respectful care. Our team works alongside participants in their homes, in the community and wherever life takes them, always following the participant's lead.

Because we are based right here in Cobblebank, we can respond quickly, stay connected and be genuinely present — not just a name on a roster.

Answers to what participants and families ask most

If you do not find what you are looking for here, please reach out — we are happy to talk through anything.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian Government program that funds reasonable and necessary supports for people with a permanent and significant disability. It is designed to help participants achieve their goals, build independence and take part in everyday life. The NDIS is administered by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).

To be eligible for the NDIS you generally need to be under 65 years of age, be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or protected special category visa holder, and have a permanent disability that significantly affects your ability to take part in everyday activities. The NDIA assesses each application individually. You can start an access request by calling the NDIS on 1800 800 110 or visiting ndis.gov.au. We are happy to talk through the process with you.
